最近我們和孩子一起閱讀了繪本《甘伯伯去遊河》。
Recently, we read the picture book《 Mr. Gumpy’s Outing》 with the children.
故事裡的小船載著動物們一起在河上前進🐰🐔🐱
In the story, a small boat carries animals as it travels along the river,
孩子們對「船為什麼會動？」產生了很多好奇。
the children became curious about how and why a boat can move.
於是，我們把這份好奇變成了一次 STREAM 的探索活動。
So we turned that curiosity into a STREAM exploration activity.
孩子拿著自己做的動力小船，
Children held the power boats they made themselves,
轉動橡皮筋，利用彈力讓小船往前滑行。
twisting the rubber band to use elastic force to move the boat forward.
有的船轉圈圈，有的停在原地，
Some boats spin in circles, while others stay in place,
孩子們一邊觀察、一邊調整：
and the children observe and adjust as they go:
「是不是要再轉幾圈？」 🤔
“Should we twist it a few more times?”
再試一次、再轉幾圈，
They try again and twist a few more turns,
看看會不會不一樣。
to see if the result will be different.
當小船真的往前動的那一刻，
When the boat finally moves forward,
水面上不只是船在前進，
it’s not only the boat moving across the water,
還有孩子滿滿的驚喜與成就感 ✨
but also the children’s excitement and sense of achievement.
在動手操作的過程裡，
Through hands-on exploration,
孩子慢慢理解「動能」與「位能」的關係。
children begin to understand the relationship between kinetic and potential energy.
孩子正在學習觀察、假設、再嘗試——
Children are learning to observe, hypothesize, and try again—
這正是科學思考的開始。 🧠💡
the very beginning of scientific thinking.
